Just like 1 in every 5 adults, I found myself grappling with my mental
health. In 2021, at 22 years old, I reached my lowest point, feeling as though I no longer belonged. Without the help of a therapist and the support of those around me, I honestly don’t know if I’d be here today.

But healing is a journey, not a destination. Through therapy, journaling, positive affirmations, and deep self-reflection, I slowly began to rebuild. I found myself again—landing my dream job, overcoming a driving phobia that had held me captive for five years, and embracing my greatest role as a “Mom.”

Motherhood, in all its beauty and challenges, taught me a crucial lesson: you cannot pour from an empty cup. While 5 months postpartum, I attended my first "Mother’s Day Self Care workshop" at work, where we made body lotion, chapstick, and—of course—candles. That was the moment I fell in love with candle-making. The simple act of blending scents and creating something beautiful sparked a new sense of purpose within me. It was then I dreamed of creating candles with messages of hope—a blend of inspiration and self-care.

That's how Believe You Belong was born. I wanted to create a brand that empowers mental health and inspires people to overcome self-doubt. The name reflects a truth that I want everyone to know: You belong. The world is a better place with YOU in it.

I launched my website on National Suicide Prevention Day, September 2024, as a reminder that no matter how dark the days may seem, light is always within reach. Every candle I create holds a message—a reminder that you are worthy of love, care, and kindness.
